POLICY

HabitForge is developed and maintained by Prasannova Solutions. We built HabitForge to help you track habits, build consistency, and transform your daily life — not to collect, sell, or monetise your personal data.

This Privacy Policy explains what information HabitForge handles, where it is stored, and how it is used. By installing or using HabitForge, you agree to the practices described here.

HabitForge may handle the following types of data depending on the features you use:

• Habit data — names, descriptions, types, goal values, streaks, completion entries, categories, and rest day settings you create inside the app.
• Journal entries — titles, content, moods, productivity scores, challenge/win notes, and tags you write in the Growth Journal.
• Google account identity — your name and email address obtained via Google Sign-In, used only to identify your session within the app.
• Backup files — a copy of your local database uploaded to your own Google Drive if you use the Backup & Restore feature.

No other data is collected.

All habit data, journal entries, categories, and settings are stored in a SQLite database inside your Windows user profile directory:

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the Google Drive backup feature. Prasannova Solutions has no access to this database, cannot read it, and cannot delete it on your behalf.

Uninstalling HabitForge does not automatically delete AppData files. You can delete the folder manually to remove all local data.

HabitForge uses Google OAuth 2.0 to let you sign in with your Google account. When you sign in, Google shares your name and email address with the app. This information is:

• Stored locally on your device only.
• Used to display your profile within the app.
• Used to associate your Google Drive backup with your account.
• Never transmitted to Prasannova Solutions' servers (we don't have one).

Your Google credentials and tokens are managed by the Google Identity platform. We do not store your password. Refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details.

The optional Backup & Restore feature uploads a copy of your local database to your own Google Drive account:

• The backup file is stored in your personal Google Drive — not on any Prasannova Solutions server.
• Only you (and Google, per their policies) have access to this file.
• We request only the minimum Drive scope needed to read and write the backup file.
• You can delete the backup file from your Google Drive at any time.

To be explicit, HabitForge and Prasannova Solutions do not:

• Collect analytics, telemetry, or usage statistics.
• Track which habits you create or how often you use the app.
• Display ads or share data with advertising networks.
• Sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for any commercial purpose.
• Store any data on Prasannova Solutions' own servers or cloud infrastructure.
• Access your device's contacts, camera, microphone, or location.

HabitForge integrates with the following third-party services:

• Google Identity (OAuth 2.0) — for sign-in. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google Drive API — for optional backup. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Microsoft Store — for distribution. Subject to Microsoft's Privacy Statement.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services. We encourage you to review their respective policies.

HabitForge is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app and provided personal data through Google Sign-In, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you are in complete control of deletion:

• In-app deletion — delete individual habits, entries, categories, or journal entries from within HabitForge at any time.
• Full local wipe — delete the folder at %AppData%\HabitForge\ to erase all app data from your machine.
• Google Drive backup — delete the backup file directly from your Google Drive.
• Google account access — revoke HabitForge's Drive access at myaccount.google.com/permissions at any time.

Since we hold no data on our end, there is nothing to request deletion of from Prasannova Solutions.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users via the GitHub repository or the app's release notes.

Continued use of HabitForge after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
